Some snapshots of a few pieces of graffiti art in the centre of Bristol. It’s a shame to see that Batman’s eyes have been sprayed pink since I last saw it.

Still wankers here.

Travelogue. Day 12 16/8/11.
Back in to the city for some more medical stuff today. My mother had been to the opticians the previous day and was prescribed some reading glasses, and I though I should get some new frames too since I hated my glasses. I’ve no idea why eye tests in England are around £30 in England when it only costs 400 pesos here (about £5.83) and frankly I thought it was better here. Anyway, I narrowed the frames I liked down to two and ended up going for the more expensive ones and then got talked into the more expensive type of lens too, bring the total to 4350php (about £63.50) which was about double what I actually wanted to spend. Ah well I am on holiday, and I really did like the specs. I totally look Masafumi Goto from Asian Kung-fu Generation with them on, or at  least I would if I still had my long hair (to be honest I did base my choice on Goto-sans glasses). After this my mother had a hospital appointment when meant me waiting around for ages in a small waiting room with a load of talky Filipinos who could talk about me without me ever knowing. After that was finally over we met up with more relatives and headed to a place I am referring to as the ‘Mt. Mayon lookout’ since it had a lovely view of the volcano. Up there I actually saw some other travellers: a few Brits and some Eastern Europeans too, which was nice since it meant I was no longer the whitest person around. It also meant I could finally act like a tourist and get my camera out to take loads of pictures, since basically everyone else was doing the same. There was a zip line that ran in front of the mountain which my little sister and tita tried out. I didn’t manage to get any decent pictures of their attempts (though the photographer who worked there did), but I did manage to catch some randomer’s go in front of the sunset (photo forthcoming).
