Our Asian cooking streak continued with chicken karaage. Nila did most of the work this time and I was more of a kitchen porter. I decided to make an onigiri with a piece of chicken karaage because, as my kitchen porter friend Arthur always says, ‘creativity is not lost in the kitchen’. Also, Japanese mayonnaise is one of my favourite things.

We finished watching My Lovely Kim Sam Soon today. The finale was dissapointing. I guess this marks the end of our K-drama day until we buy Protect the Boss, but we still have loads of films to watch.

Shann, Nila and I spent pretty much half of the day baking and cooking. We made brownies. We also made melon bread which, after some initial pessimism, turned out to be a success and yummy. We also made onigiri ^__^

Today was hot, and I ended up doing a fair bit of unnecessary walking thanks to Shann taking us forty minutes out of our way when we ventured to the letting agent to sign some papers and pay some fees. But really, thank God that, after people dropping out and lost houses, we have finally sorted a place to live for next year.
All of this made me late to see Ji Young (sorrrrryyyyyy) and very tired. But my time in town was cool and we took loads of pictures. Well, she did. These geese seemed pretty friendly too. But yeah, apart from my time in town, today was a day that should have been better than it was.

Today was supposed to be a cocoon day, but Nila’s dad and his girlfriend payed us a surprise visit and took us out to eat, which was nice. We went to Yo! Sushi, because we always end up going there. Nila also gained a straw hat from the visit. And I gained some Puccho, my favourite Japanese sweets. :D
At Yo! Sushi I ate a crab onigiri katsu that tasted a little… fishy (excuse the pun). It actually smelled of ammonia. Shann (my friend/housemate who works there) later told me the crab was actually off… If I get diarrhea someone is going to die.

Shann: What kind of fish are those?
Random middle-aged man: Wet ones.

Shann and Shweta laughing up a storm. We had another one of those days where a load of us gather in my room and watch Asian films & dramas.

Nila’s Canon AE-1 arrived in the post today, as did the survival horror games I bought on Ebay :)
It was a lovely, sunny day. We ventured to the cinema to watch The Raid, which was as awesome as it was expected to be. It had the best kung-fu I’d seen for some time, almost at the level of top tier Jackie Chan films like Drunken Master 2. Was pretty violent too.

We currently have no kettle, so we’ve been using pans to boil water recently. Can’t be going without tea now.
