(209) Nila  We are currently, like pretty much everyone in this country, watching the Olympic opening ceremony. It was fairly good overall. I don’t think that, after Beijing, anyone here, or anywhere else, was expecting London to raise the bar. And it didn’t, but it was a reasonable effort. The ‘forging of the rings’ was pretty spectacular. Seeing James Bond and the Queen together was also pretty cool. She doesn’t seem to be enjoying it much though. The ceremony covered quite a bit of British history from the last 150 years, but I couldn’t help but feel something was missing…. Like rain. Or queueing.
