Yellowcard - Rough Draft
Soundtrack to [the Movie of] My Life. Track #14.
I actually penned this whole list of songs back in March, but for various reasons they’ve been spread up over the summer. But alas, we are now at the end, and I am ending this list with Yellowcard, for all intents and purposes my favourite US band ever. As mentioned in a previous post, I love hearing their songs when it’s just Ryan Key’s voice and an acoustic guitar. And this, one of their older songs, has some of the best lyrics I ever did hear (especially during the bridge). I think it’s a very suitable ‘end credit’ song.
October Fall - Hey, Hey
Soundtrack to [the Movie of] My Life. Track #13.
This was a song that was introduced to me by an old friend, and it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. So much so that it kind of became the song I’d think back to when replaying moments of my childhood with my friends fron the village, mainly because we all liked it (well, most of us did). I really miss those days. Since we’ve all grown up and spread all over the country we haven’t been together as a group in bloody ages.
I’d have playing the last few moments of the final scene of this ‘movie’, and as the credits start to roll, because I think the intro lends itself to that. And it’s a sweet song.
Hey hey, look it
You came around again
Didn’t think we’d see you again with how things ended back then
Hey hey old friend
I think it’s been too long
Grab the guitar, let’s sit around
And play our favourite song...
It’s been a few months since I’ve done one of these so this isn’t completely up to date. A few of the awesome songs already mentioned in previous iterations of this segment still hang around for this one. [Newer songs toward the top]

Soundtrack to [the Movie of] My Life. Track #12.
I actually penned this whole list of songs back in March, but for various reasons they’ve been spread up over the summer. It’s also why I’m finding hard to remember why I included I chose the songs. Well this one… Let’s think…I guess it’s because this is one of the last songs on this list playing toward the finale. And they’re right, life goes on, and I am trying to get less caught up in the past and get used to the fact that change is inevitable and the now isn’t so bad. I’m even looking forward to going back to Brookes. Hopefully I’ll have a better year than the last one turned out to be.
Ahh Noah, you and your whale are so wise…
My mother and sister just got back home. They were staying out in the Philippines for two weeks longer than me, so they were out there eight days before I came and six days after I left. Glad they’re home safe.
My sister has her first day of big school in a couple of days. Ha, she’s gunna’ be jetlagged.
