For the last week or so I’ve been at home in the South West. There hasn’t been much to do, since the weather has been poor recently and everyone else is still at university, but it’s been nice to relax and not have to cook and clean for myself. I had to go to the opticians which drained a considerable amount of money from my wallet for a text, contacts, and new lenses for my glasses (since my eyes have gotten worse). I’ve also acted as my mother’s driving instructor for a couple of days. That makes me feel older. You have to be 21 and have had a license for 3 years to be eligible to teach someone to drive. Doesn’t seem like that long ago that I was learning.
My sister was looking after her boss’ dog again for a few days. I’m not really a dog fan, so I’m glad she was old and calm. She seemed quite wise.
I’m heading to Bristol tomorrow and then back Oxford later in the week, where I intend to spend the majority of the summer (so as not to waste the money I’m paying for rent). Hopefully people will be around and it’ll be a good last summer in the city.

It’s been 15 years and a day since the finale of Seinfeld aired. For those of you too young to remember, or too culturally unaware to have paid attention, Seinfeld was one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. The show finished its nine year run as the number one show in America, and the finale had a viewership of 76 million, the third highest in history behind MASH and Cheers (to put it into further perspective, Friends’ finale was viewed by 52.5 million). Jerry Seinfeld turned down an offer of over $100 million for a tenth season.
Recently, Nila has been watching it a lot after I showed her a few episodes last year, and it’s been great to watch all of the episodes again as she progresses through the seasons.
My five favourite episodes are (in no particular order):
The Yada Yada (Season 8, Episode 19)
The Package (Season 8, Episode 5)
The Fusilli Jerry (Season 6, Episode 21)
The Opposite (Season 5, Episode 22)
The Summer of George (Season 8, Episode 22)
My favourite character was George :D
Charlene in Headington Park, Oxford. I decided that, since she is so camera shy, I should take some photographs of her. Sowwi Charlene :P

Natalie and white blossom (again). Engulfed in petals.
Olympus OM-40 loaded with Kodak Portra 160. I like Portra, but sadly I only had one roll of it. Got 4 rolls of Fuji Velvia on the way though, which I am excited about using (apart from the fact that it is costly to develope).

Ji Young, standin’ on a tree stump, by the river. Fun fact: this is actually a photo of a statue carved out of wood. Looks realistic, right?

More of Katy and cherry blossoms, this time with 100% more glasses.
Olympus OM-40 loaded with Kodak Portra 160. I can’t remember which lens I used but I’d like to say… 135mm at f.4(???)

I think I’ll forego the random film quotes captioning my 35mm photos for this roll (no one seems to want to the play the game anyway) and caption these more traditionally - for now.

I wanted to take more portraits than usual, since it was spring, and I was using Portra.
